Read Hawkeye #9 and had kind of an uncomfortable realization when I hit this panel and wanted to try to get it off my chest.

I keep everyone at arms length because I hate myself and feel like the biggest screwup loser piece of shit in the world. I’m terrified of getting hurt or worse yet, hurting them.

Anyone who knows me knows that I will apologize for literally ANYTHING and that’s because I feel like I have to. For being me. Hell, I was hanging around with a group of people at SPX last year and someone told me that I didn’t need to apologize so much and to relax because they liked me. I nearly had a panic attack because A.) Couldn’t think of why that would be, and B.) Oh shit, they’re getting too close ABORT ABORT and started thinking of ways to push away from them.

I’m afraid I’ve ruined at least three good friendships in the last year because of this. It’s like some kind of sick reflex at this point and I hate it. I push people away which only makes me feel worse which in turn makes me push people farther away, etc. It’s a vicious cycle of suck and it is exhausting.
